We use Google Search to find information, Facebook and Twitter to socialize with other people and instant messengers like Skype and Google Talk to instantly talk with others over the internet. But it is not only that internet has done all good. There are too many websites full of in-appropriate content which misguides our youth and throw our children in danger. Free Information: No Doubt that Internet has done a very Good work of providing information through various websites. Search Engines like Google gives results in the matter of seconds about any search query.So, internet gives a lot of free information and knowledge to Children. Children learns about latest technology and current matters of the World. There are many good blogs on the internet that gets updated daily with new content. The other good thing about internet is it gives all the information at one point. Children do not have to and visit any other places. Even now they can tour the whole world without even going outside.

Make Study Easier: Be the invention and use of internet, Children used to study from the books which most of the time are not that friendly. Those books lacks interesting examples and were in Black and White, so children do not take interest in them. But with internet, studying has been made a lot easier. Websites like Wikipedia and HowStuffWorks gives information about any subject with live examples. These also contains related images and videos or presentations which makes studying a lot easier.

Interesting: When studying from the internet, children take more interest. Because children do not like studying from old books which don't get updated throughout the time. Internet also gives them real life examples and a feel of Maturity. As we know, Children always love to be a bigger and older man. Internet makes them feel like more of it. 

Learn to Use Computer: In today's fast moving world, the Computers are essential part of life and business. Children start to learn computer from their childhood and master their skills in computer by the time they need to go to Job. So unknowingly, they learns to use computers. The main software in which children needs to master their skills are MS Word, Excel, Publisher and Notepad.

Cons Of Internet For Children

Inappropriate Content: As we all know that internet is loaded with inappropriate content such as nude pictures and videos. The more interesting fact is almost 80% of internet business is based on nudity. So, allowing children to browse any kind of website can be very dangerous. Children can get addicted to such content. One recent survey conducted in United States Of America (U.S.A.) stated that 75% of rapists are addicted to watch p*rn videos. So children can also end up sitting in a jail for doing such crime.

Wastage Of Time: No doubt that internet is full of information and children may also acqiure some good knowledge from it. But instead of getting knowledge, children end up wasting their time on internet. Some Children are addicted to social websites such as Facebook and Twitter and no matter how hard they try, they cannot close or log out from their account and thus spends most of their time on unreqiured and useless information such as checking walls of friends. Checking funny pitcures on various fan pages etc. Hence, internet is also a wastage of time.

Bad Health Habits: There is no need to prove this as this has been already proved that children who are addicted to internet or Facebook do not go much to outer area and spend most of their time in front of their Computers and gadgets. While browsing internet on their computers, they adopts bad sitting and laying habits when they feel tired on their computer chair. These habits can be really harmful as because of these habits one may lose his whole posture. There are also some other physical problems such as pain in brain and pain in the back.
Effects Proper Growth: Internet fan boys do not like to go around with friends and play games or have fun. The Internet becomes their one and only way of having fun. Thus they sit in front of their laptops and computers for the whole day which badly effects the proper growth of their physical and mental health. Those kids may get smaller in height and their body muscles will not be that much hard and developed.

Solutions To Minimize The Bad Effects Of Internet On Children

Internet is a revolutionary invention. It can be used for good purposes and for bad purposes also. It depends on the customer or user, in which way he wants to use the invention. Whether he utilizes it or abuses it. Same is true for computers and internet. No doubt that internet can be used as a very good source of information and knowledge if used properly. But if not, then it may also cause a great danger to our children. Parents should use some plugins which blocks traffic from un-intentional websites. Children should be advised and made aware of the disadvantages and advantages of internet and technology.
